it is understood that the total length of the main line of Xining Chengdu Railway is 836.5 km, which spans Qinghai, Gansu and Sichuan provinces, 307.7 km of which are under construction, and 26.3 km of which will directly use the Lanzhou Xinjiang line. The actual length of the new main line is 502.5 km, including 146.12 km in Qinghai Province, 183.47 km in Gansu Province and Sichuan Province 86 km.

Ganqing extra long tunnel is 22.38 km

according to Duan Rongcheng, the bridge tunnel ratio of the whole line of Xicheng railway is as high as 80%, passing through basins, plateaus, river valleys, mountainous areas and ten major fault zones, which are faced with prominent geological problems such as large deformation of soft rock, high pressure gas and weak diagenetic water stability under high geostress conditions. 65% of the new projects are above 3000 meters above sea level. There are four national nature reserves, one provincial nature reserve and two county-level nature reserves along the line. The geological conditions are extremely complex and the ecological protection responsibility is heavy.

Ganqing super long tunnel is a control project of the whole line. The total length of the tunnel is 22.38 km and the maximum buried depth is 670 M. according to the design of single tunnel and double track tunnel, the construction period of tunnel construction is expected to be 67.4 months.
